About the advisor
Miłosz Pawlinow is an attorney-at-law and succession expert. He supports owners of family businesses in preparing, calmly and responsibly, to hand over the company to the next generation - from ownership matters to protecting the family's assets. This is how he writes about his work:
I am an attorney-at-law with more than 25 years of experience working with entrepreneurs. Over these years I have come to know not only the realities of running a business, but also the stories of people who built their companies from scratch - with courage, determination and a sense of responsibility for their loved ones. I know that a family business is rarely just an economic venture. It is often a life's work, a source of family pride and an important part of the family's identity.
That is why generational succession now holds a special place in my practice. It is a process that requires knowledge and a good plan, but also attentiveness, patience and an understanding of emotions. For the founder, handing over the company can mean parting with a work built over many years. For the successors - taking responsibility for its further development, and sometimes also facing the expectations of many people close to them.
I support owners of family businesses in preparing for this change calmly and responsibly. I help put ownership matters in order, protect the assets built up over the years and create solutions that secure the future of the company and of the people connected with it. It matters to me that the plan we adopt is consistent not only with the law and the needs of the business, but also with the values on which the family built its company.
I do not treat succession as a one-off legal act. I see it as a journey in several stages, built on honest conversation, mutual trust and respect for family relationships. I help name the needs and fears of the senior generation and of the successors, look for what connects them and work out clear rules that limit the risk of misunderstandings. The law is an important tool here, but the real goal is a solution with which the family can feel secure.
I combine legal experience with a practical understanding of business and a human view of every story. No two families and no two companies are the same, so I do not offer ready-made schemes. I listen carefully and, together with my clients, build a plan tailored to their situation, their goals and the pace at which they are ready to make the change.
A well-planned succession makes it possible to preserve what has been built over the years: the value of the company, the security of the assets, the jobs and the family heritage. It can also bring peace of mind to the founders, certainty to the next generation and the sense that what was built together will remain a lasting foundation - not a source of division. That is exactly the result I work towards.
