About the advisor
Krzysztof Banaszkiewicz is a succession advisor, a financial advisor and an entrepreneur. He supports Nestors - owners preparing to hand over their company - in getting the company, the family and the assets ready for a conscious, orderly succession process.
He graduated in Computer Science from the Warsaw University of Technology. His technical education shaped his analytical, systemic and process-based approach to complex problems. At the same time, he sees the greatest value in working with people. He values attentive conversation, relationships built on trust and creating the conditions for conscious, responsible decisions.
As an entrepreneur since 2003, he understands well the responsibility that comes with running a company, making long-term decisions and caring for the family, employees, partners and the assets built up over the years. He has served as President of the Management Board and as a Member of the Management Board, and has sat on the supervisory boards of companies. This experience lets him understand the owner's perspective as well as the responsibility of management and supervision.
In his work he helps the Nestor put goals in order, identify risks, prepare possible scenarios and assess whether the Successor is ready to take on responsibility. He also takes into account the situation of family members, partners, key employees and the other Stakeholders of the succession process.
He sees succession as the handover of the knowledge, responsibility, power, ownership and values on which the company was built. He starts the conversation with the future of the business, the role of the Nestor, the readiness of the Successor and the impact of the decisions on the family and the other Stakeholders.
